How to use I-Ready Personalized Instruction

I-Ready Personalized Instruction Program:

Managing Personalized Instruction

I-Ready will automatically assign an appropriate selection of lessons to each student after they complete a Diagnostic.

You can view or update the lessons assigned to your students, preview the lessons, and assign and manage additional lessons by selecting Assess & Teach on the top navigation. From the menu that displays, select the Instruction category and then under Personalized Instruction, select either Reading or Math, if available.

In addition, you can see individual student's upcoming i-Ready and teacher-assigned lessons and remove lessons, if desired, by selecting Reports on the top navigation. From the menu that displays, select the Student report level, the Instruction category, and then under Personalized Instruction Summary, select either Reading or Math, if available.

How do I ASSIGN particular lessons in I-Ready?
*Remember, that I-Ready Personalized Instruction is already differentiating and giving students a prescribed set of lessons based on their learning needs. So in most cases, it is not necessary to assign specific skills to small groups or individuals. You may want to assign a specific skill to the entire class as an exit ticket after a whole class lesson, for example.

Interactive Questions in Screencastify

 Screencastify Interactive Questions
A GREAT update to Screencastify this year, called Interactive Questions...if you've ever used Edpuzzle...it's like that!!

Edit videos to focus students and require them to take a more active approach while engaging with the video content. You can insert a pause to the video at any point, and ask a focus question students must answer to continue the video. This is a great way to check for understanding and see who has watched your video.

The best part? You can use Screencastify videos  AND Google Meet videos you have previously recorded!

    • Please TRY IT OUT HERE to see what it's all about!  (You will get a redirect message, followed by a box confirming your Gmail before the video tutorial loads.)
