Finding Files in your Google Drive

Having trouble finding files in your Google Drive?

Here are a few tips that might make them easier to find:

If it is a file you already had open recently, try using the "Recent" tool. This will sort your files by: Ones that were opened today, Earlier this week, and For the Month.

If it is a file that you use REGULARLY, consider giving it a "STAR".   Next to the title of your file (near the upper left corner) is an outline of a star. Clicking inside, turns the star yellow, and adds it to the "Starred" folder. You can access the "Starred" folder at anytime from the "Starred" tab on the left side of your Google Drive.

To find files that are not used regularly, try using the search bar at the top of your Google Drive screen.  Here you can search by title, date range, or even file type (for example, maybe you know it was a PDF, but you can't remember what it was titled).
