i-Ready Practice: How to adjust what your students are practicing

Now that students have completed the BOY and MOY i-Ready diagnostics, you may feel that the practice portion of i-Ready needs to be adjusted for some or all of your students. For instance, the diagnostic may show the student needs grade 1 math standards, but the student is performing at a higher level during class time or on Investigations units.

Here are some options for adjusting the student learning paths:

-You can adjust a  specific lesson path for an individual student. Click the link below to learn how.

*Note, if you are moving a student back to lower grade level content, the student MAY end up repeating lessons they already completed. Also, if you move a student forward and it is too difficult, you will need to go back in and readjust. The program will NOT automatically adjust backward based on their progress.

-You can adjust what subject domains individual students, groups, or the whole class experience while in i-Ready Practice. For example, if your tutoring group is focusing on measurement, you can turn off all of the domains except measurement for that group to ensure they are getting measurement each time they log into i-Ready Math. If the whole class has a test coming up on geometry, then you can turn off all domains except geometry for the entire class to ensure they are getting only that domain.
